Is resourceindia.com a job portal?

No, it is not a job-portal. Though it has some features that career portals normally have, it is the website Resource Management Consultants, a recruitment services company.

Are there any fees for posting my resumé here?

Our service to candidates is free. We earn our money from clients who recruit using our services. Job-seekers like you do not have to pay us anything to post your resumé here or to avail any of our services.

Will you keep my resumé confidential? Who can view my resumé? Can my employer see my resumé?

Your CV is a confidential document and will not be viewed by anyone except authorised employees of Resource. We share your resumé with our clients only after you authorise us to do so. Since we share your CV with any client only after approval, there is no possibility of Resource sharing your CV to your employer.

Why should I use a consultant to assist in changing jobs? Can I not apply directly to the company? What is the problem in approaching a company through my friends/relatives who works there?

Most companies don't publicise all their requirements. They neither have the time to do that nor the time to validate all the responses that they get. They just rely on a trusted few consultants like us to close these positions. By availing our services, you have a chance to put forward your candidature at some of the best companies in India.

Approaching a company directly or through friends / existing employees does appear to yield quicker results in that this approach wins you a meeting. But more often than not, this approach does not eventually produce the desired results.
