The Buzz Word – India capturing the IT…the International Terrain

Amongst the entire Asian continent, India has been the Hub as a beginner and as a competitive rival for IT solutions, worldwide. The human force factor coupled with inexhaustible brain power has lead India to becoming a front runner.
Information Technology no more stands for the mere function of a computer operator or data processor. The IT is now the backbone of all industries whose existence can be comprehended as being in business! The IT department now works with computers and servers, Database Management Systems (DBMS) and cryptography. The functions range from system to network administration to database administration and management.
There is no dearth of skills in India when it comes to specialization in the field of computer networking, information security, IT governance, IT infrastructure library, business intelligence, Linux, UNIX, project management, and many more. Programming and database management skill sets are available in the Indian market by the millions. It is almost as if the grey cells in this country feed on information technology!
Institutions imparting education in this ever expanding sphere of the way business is done today are extremely well equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and faculty with an unquestionable level of knowledge. The awareness towards ensuring a well educated background complete with significantly up-to-the-mark certifications is providing a competitive armor when it comes to landing a job in the IT industry. Some of the leading professional certified courses include Information Security, Oracle, DBA, Cisco and PMP. The list does not end here. This industry is constantly on the move.
With the rise in the capacities and capabilities to do business, and the constantly evolving ways of doing a business, the IT industry and the jobs it therefore generates, are here to stay! Data storage and data management, processing and retrieval, are now an integral part of any line of business.
Project Management Professionals are the current blue eyed boys of the IT industry! The ITIL, Information technology Infrastructure Library professionals run at par with their service support and service delivery functions. The Cisco Routing, Switching and Security roles cannot be ruled out especially given the size of the industries the IT field caters to.
The jobs in IT are high profile with functions and roles that cannot be compromised upon. The IT or what we know as the Information Technology is the new buzz word today, the backbone of any commercial and non-commercial lines of business. The time has arrived when the existence of any establishment would be endangered if there is a slack in the field of IT.
